Two of the ways Alexandra combines her interests in dance and multimedia is through her work in film and photography. Through Elon in LA, she collaborated with Cassandra Tumasz to create the film "Swans and the City," which has been shown at the Dance and New Media Conference, the Jacksonville Dance Film Festival, and the Greensboro 24-hour Film Festival, where it won an Audience Choice Award.

Research

As part of Elon University's Honors Fellows Program, Alexandra conducted a two-year undergraduate research project titled "Intersecting Dance, Design, and Multimedia in Live Performance." This research examined the question: How do choreographers use multimedia and spatial design to create innovative work that challenges the boundaries of traditional live performance? As the culmination of this project, Alexandra created an 18-minute dance and multimedia piece, featuring a collaboration with an animator.
